Christmassy Nails

Hello,
I thought as we are making our way into December it was time for some Christmassy nail art. I love doing my nails and I have been slacking with them because I have been so busy at work! So I enjoyed chilling and watching home alone whilst doing my nails. It's a lovely way to spend my Sunday in my eyes. :)

I decided on a rather easy design because I am a little out of practice therefore didn't quite no what they would turn out like.

How to:
  • I chose to use Models Own ~ Jade Stone as my main colour.
  • I then chose the use Mabelline Express Finish ~Pearl for my snow and the snowman base. (I don't seem to have a decent white it took me quite a few coats). I used a cocktail stick for the dots to look like snow.
  •  I moved onto doing the hat, eyes and mouth with my black nail art pen and the nose with a Orange nail art pen.

Very simple design but I think it looks cute. What do your festive nails look like?

December has arrived....

DECEMBER which only means one thing...

...CHRISTMAS SOON! Personally I cannot wait! It is one of the most AMAZING times of the year! (Sorry about all the !!! can you tell I am a tad excited)

So to start my first weekend off in December me and mother duck decided to do some christmas shopping in Leeds. So naturally we had a wander around the german christmas market :) here are some pictures below of our little adventure! I say adventure because it was not really planned! Mam decided we should go to a train station and then hop on the first train that comes in to a shopping destination. She loved the uncertainty of it all however me on the other hand, I was a little not stressed but apprehensive about it all. hehe. (I need structure ha!)

Sunday arrived and we decided due to the great start to the weekend we had we would go and get a christmas tree and decorate to feel really festive! I somehow managed to decorate the tree as a sole ranger...not sure how this came around but I was quite proud of my little masterpiece!

   What do you think?

The Crowds in Leeds were pretty mental! People must be deciding they need to get cracking with their shopping! It was very busy! It was crazy busy but not so bad YET that you had to fight to get into shops, never mind to see anything! But the pretty lights were up in Trinity :)

After battling those crowds a well deserved glass of wine and a pizza was what came next!

I had an AMAZING weekend! I also got a cheeky Honeycomb Hot Choc from Costa! It was one of the most yummy things in the world! I was even sniffing the cup after I finished it! ( I am not mental honest it was delightful) I loved the lovely festive cup too so cute!!!

Then sad as I am, one of the highlights of my weekend was on Sunday morning and getting Toby dog excited about opening his doggy advent calendar. How cute is he waiting for his choc! BEAUTIFUL he is!

So how did you spend your first weekend in December?

Review: L'Oreal Paris ~ Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution

Review time :)

First of all I will start with what the L'Oreal website states about this product.

"L’Oréal Paris Skin Perfection Purifying Micellar Water, high performance cleansing for sensitive skin. Used by make-up artists, the ‘micellar’ solution swiftly removes all traces of make-up and acts like a purifying magnet on skin’s surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities. So gentle, skin feels soothed and toned. Hypo-allergenic. No Alcohol. Dermatologically tested."

What I think:

Well personally I LOVE this product and I use it every night! I find it takes off all of my make up and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth! I tend to use it with cotton wool pads and use them until I no longer have any make up residue left on the pad. It is very gentle and has no alcohol in the product, which I really like. I even use it to take off my eye make up. I have sensitive skin and so far have had no bad reaction around my eye area from doing so. BONUS! hehe. I am now on my 3rd bottle this is how much I adore the product.

WARNING:

The hole in the top of the bottle is rather wide therefore you can sometimes over pour and this results in a waste of the product and also a very wet, soggy cotton wool pad!

You are able to pick this product up from most UK supermarkets or drugstores. The RRP is £4.99

Have you tried it?

Scary Halloween Makeup

Happy Halloween,

Halloween has passed and I am going to share with you the Halloween make up I used  for the party. I didn't think it would work as well as it did! I was pretty proud of it actually.

It looks really effective, yet it took me ageeesssss to do! If you wanted to do this I would recommend maybe not covering one of your eyes and doing down your mouth or something, because it proved a little hard to focus especially after a few drinks lol!

To get the desired effect I used a zip, cotton pad, plasters (For over my eye and eyebrow), liquid latex, tissue paper, black and red face paint and fake blood. Warnings!!!!
  • It is like waxing when you peel it off so DO NOT put over any eyebrows or eyelashes because you will be bald afterwards!! haha
  • It is a very strong smell the liquid latex so if your doing near eyes etc be careful.
  • Allow yourself plenty of time because it take a LONNNGGGG time!
  • Fake blood can stain so put Vaseline on your face before hand :)
  • It hardens so straws are required and facial expressions can be rather difficult haha.
If you would like to know anything else about it please feel free to ask :)

Home Decor... the way to my heart

Hello :)

In this post I am going to share with you some of my favourite bits of my bedroom decor. It so happens that I chose neutral colours for my bedroom (it also had something to do with me renting the flat and not being allowed to paint the walls lol.), However I do LOVE my neutral colours! I have also gone with a heart theme too :) Just in case you are wondering why they are all heart shaped or have heart shapes incorporated into them, hehe.

Firstly, there is my double heart candle, I did not actually buy this my mam bought me it for my birthday and I love it! I haven't dared light it yet, I don't know about anyone else but I seem to be a little reluctant to first light a candle lol, Even though I utterly love candles lit in the room! Strange I know. I think the distressed casing gives it a kind of shabby chic feel to it which I also like.

Next is my grey wire heart tea light holder, I bought this from Next as I loved it from the moment I saw it! Its just beautiful! It again fits in with the distressed type look, this is by far one of my favourite bits of decor in my room! It looks so pretty when you have a candle lit inside of it. The heart opens up with the hinges on the top so your able to change the candles easily.

Now we have the matching grey wire heart organiser, which I have used to keep mainly my perfumes in. There was also a larger size if you wanted a larger one, or a set up of a small and large organiser. This doesn't just have to be used to organise perfume, it could be used to organise jewellery such as bangles or make up whatever you fancy. This was also purchased from next :)

Yes you guessed it! The matching grey wire heart bin! I couldn't resist haha, also bought from Next. I usually tend to put a carrier bag in it so its easier to empty and the smaller bits don't fall out the holes but however it does impact on its prettiness having a Asda or Tesco bag shining through lol. But i still love it.

So there you have an insight into some of my decor pieces in my room. I hope you like them as much as I do. Which is your favourite?

Celeb Style: Mila Kunis

Hey,

I thought I would do another celeb style post :)

I have chosen Mila Kunis because I think she is lovely and again has the type of style I LOVE! I first noticed her in the film Friends with Benefits with Justin Timberlake too! Awesome Film can I just add. hehe.

Image: Google

I utterly adore this outfit! I think the skirt is beautiful and matched with a plain top just draws attention to the beautiful detail in the skirt. Even her shoes are simple and plain so your attention is drawn straight to the skirt and then her lovely long legs!

Image: Google

The infamous little black dress, every girl owns one. I think this one in particular is stunning i love that it has a low back at the same time as being slightly longer. This gives it more of a sophisticated but sexy feel. She has a lovely toned back which the dress compliments intensely.

Moving to a summery day outfit I think this is super cute! I am not sure if i would suit such an outfit because i think it would make me look extremely young and I battle with that enough. But I think on her it looks beautiful and would look lush on holiday or on a hot summery day. She has picked the blue detail in the dress to match her shoes which works really well. She has even gone for soft slightly waved hair which works really well with this outfit.

Which outfit do you like best?

V Festival ❤

Hello again,

I just can't seem to get into the hang of regular posting! I am sure I will get there in the end :)

Well me and my besties went to V festival this year and it was AMAZING!!! I loved every minute! I even got over the horrific state and smell of the toilets!! And that is saying something hehe!

We went to Weston Park near Staffordshire it took us like what seemed an age to get there (3 hours!) Then the queues to get in were about just as long! But once we got over the tragic walk with all our rucksacks and finally pitched the ten! ( didn't quite go to plan) the fun began! However due to our extremely bad tent building skills and the wind we did come back on Saturday night drunk to find this!

Not ideal if I do say so myself! So we squished up with some of the other girls for a cosy night!

The lineup was immense here is the line up:

So as you can see many many many people most people would want to go and see! And yes headlining was beyonce! Oh my days! I knew she would be good but my god she was AMAZING! So much I shed a little tear hehe (could have web something to so with the large amount of alcohol I had consumed as well like) but serious she was immense!

She was half an hour late though so started to get some boos but she soon won the crowd back!! I loved every minute!

This woman is truly an inspiration!! I can't quite highlight how good she was I just recommend everyone to go and see her! Hehe! I even managed to bag a little bit of time up on someone's shoulders so I could get some good pics! :) eeeee I am
getting excited thinking about it!

But she can't have all the credit there were some amazing acts there and just that I went to see because obviously you
can't see them all its impossible! Some that spring to mind which were amazing were:
~ Emeli Sande
~ Rudimental
~ Jessy J
~ 5ive!
~ Maverick Sabre
~Jason Mraz (very emotional because one of my best friends have chosen for her wedding song eeekk!)

So guys this was just a quick post to get how excitable I was out because I found it an awesome experience and it was the first proper festival I had been too!

If anyone has any questions just ask :) or photos or anything they would like to share I would love to share your experience too :)
